KTU Sports and Wellness Center is hosting 5×5 football tournament and inviting students to take part in a competition that carries a special meaning this year.
The tournament celebrates the 90th anniversary of Povilas Grigonis – a key figure in Lithuanian student football. As one of the founders of the Lithuanian Student Football League, its former president, a long-time “Politechnika” player, and a dedicated coach, his impact on the game is still felt today. His passion for football lives on through his son, Gintaras Grigonis, head coach of the KTU football team.
Gather your team and join the action! Teams can have up to 8 players, with matches played in a dynamic 5v5 format (including a goalkeeper). After a series of exciting games, the strongest teams will take home medals and prizes.
