Last weekend all the local radio enthusiasts were invited to participate in LY HF Marathon competition (November 7th). The local competition consists of total 9- stages. Thus, it was the final round and the last chance to prove contesting skills for all participants in Lithuania.
The winner of A division is the member of KTU radio club (KTU RK) – KTU graduate Rimas Baltušis LY6A. The second place winner – Vygantas Jautakas LY2CX, and the third place finisher is another member of KTU RK – KTU graduate Rimantas Kaulakys LY5I.
B division: all three prize winners became members of KTU RK club. KTU graduate Mindaugas Jukna LY4L won the 1st place, the 2nd placeholder – Karolina Vaičiūnaitė LY5XX, and the 3rd place took KTU graduate from Vilkaviškis – Vytautas Šneideris LY2A.
C division: Another representative from KTU RK club– KTU graduate Gediminas Lučinskas LY9A won the 1st place, the 2nd place went to Lukas Bartkus LY1LB, and Mindaugas Sidabras LY2VO is rewarded with the 3rd place.
D division: The winner of the last division is the member of RK “Varpas“ – Tomas Adomavičius LY8A, the 2nd place belongs to KTU graduate Vidmantas Andriuškevičius LY2SA, and the 3rd place winner – the member of VDU RK Albinas Štaraitis LY2MM.
The following weekend, there will be another radio sport competition held by Czech organization – OK-OM DX Contest (CW mode only). The contest starts at 12pm (UTC) on Saturday 14th of November, and will last 24 hours.
Our team KTU RK is currently preparing for the CQ WW Amateur Radio competition – the largest Amateur Radio competition in the world. The contest (CW mode) will be held the last weekend of November.
