April 18
The second stage of the Lithuanian Cross Country Cup took place in Palanga.
Nedas Kasparas (Faculty of Electrical and Electronics Engineering – EEF) won 3rd place in the 6 km distance! Congratulations!


April 19
The Lithuanian Student Judo Championship was held in Kaunas, where KTU athletes shined with medals:

  • Barbora Endriekutė – 1st place

  • Li-Huei Liang – 3rd place

  • Karolina Ellert – 2nd place

  • Deivydas Kočiubaitis – 3rd place

  • Rokas Katkus – 2nd place

  • Pijus Maldonis – 3rd place

  • Tadas Čalka – 3rd place

  • Gražvydas Mykolaitis – 5th place

  • Pijus Mikalauskas – 2nd place

  • Ugnius Spaičys – 3rd place

  • Nedas Urniežius – 2nd place

  • Michael Krizek – 3rd place

KTU team results:

  • Women’s team – 3rd place

  • Men’s team – 3rd place


April 19
KTU badminton players participated in the Easter Tournament of the Panevėžys Badminton Club:

  • Kipras Lukoševičius (MIDF): 4th place in men’s singles, 5th in men’s doubles

  • Dovydas Navagrudskas (Faculty of Informatics – IF): 7th in men’s doubles, 6th in singles

  • Linas Grubinskas (IF): 10th in men’s doubles, 6th in singles


At the Kaunas Spring Throws Championship, top national results for the new season were recorded.
Matas Baziliauskas (MIDF) won with a throw of 64.69 m.


KTU swimmers brought home 7 medals!
On April 26, the Lithuanian Student Swimming Championship took place at the “Žalgiris” Arena swimming pool in Kaunas. KTU was represented by three swimmers – Benas Lapinskas, Titas Štuopis, and Aikas Remeika.

  • Titas Štuopis – 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze

  • Benas Lapinskas – 2 silver and 1 bronze

  • Aikas Remeika – 1 bronze
    Congratulations to the athletes on a great performance!


At the Kaunas Marathon on Sunday, KTU athlete Ignas Vanagas (IF) won the 5 km distance with a time of 16:08! Congratulations!


April 26
The Lithuanian Student Rapid Chess Championship took place in Vilnius. After a break of several years, KTU students returned to the competition. Although the team wasn’t at full strength, there were many intense and victorious matches.
This year, individual and team results were calculated separately for men and women.
KTU students Ignas Mačiuitis and Justas Venckevičius (EEF) finished in 4th place, just 1.5 points behind the MRU team.


KTU basketball players defeated Kauno Kolegija 77:71 in the third semifinal match and advanced to the KKML A League final!
The final will take place on May 7 at 20:15 in the KTU Faculty of Chemistry sports hall, where KTU-Reunion will compete.


KTU table tennis player Simona Rimkevičiūtė won the bronze medal at the Lithuanian Student Table Tennis Championship! Congratulations!
