“Ateik ir įveik 2025“

On September 20, 2025, Kaunas University of Technology Sports and Wellness Center invites you to the “Ateik ir įveik 2025!” running event dedicated to the memory of Prof. K. Baršauskas.

Participants will be able to test their strength on specially equipped running and walking tracks. The goal of “Ateik ir įveik 2025” is to promote running, encourage a healthy lifestyle, and increase physical activity among students and residents of Kaunas and other cities.

During the event, participants will be able to compete in the following events:

  • 200 m children’s (with obstacles) running track;
  • 5 km running track;
  • 5 km walking track.

The start/finish line for the competition is at the KTU stadium (Radvilėnų pl. 19, Kaunas).

Competition schedule*:

10:30–11:50 a.m. – collection of numbers;

11:30 a.m. – start of the event and welcome speech;

11:40 a.m. start of the 200 m children’s race (with obstacles);

11:55 a.m. awarding of the cup to the youngest participant in the children’s race;

12:00 p.m. start of the 5 km run/walk;

1:00 p.m. awards ceremony.

* The program is subject to change depending on the number of participants.

Races and age groups:

200 m children’s (hurdles) race age group:

children (boys and girls) – 12 years old and younger (born in 2013 and later).

5 km run age groups:

  • men and women under 40;
  • men and women aged 40–50;
  • men and women aged 50 and over.

5 km walk age group:

  • men and women (no age groups).

Pre-registration online will take place until 11:59 p.m. on September 18, 2025, at http://www.lbma.lt/registracija.

AWARDS

200 m children’s (with obstacles) race awards:

  • all children who reach the finish line will receive commemorative medals.

5 km race awards:

  • Men and women who finish in 1st–3rd place (according to age groups) will receive medals and prizes;
  • all participants who reach the finish line will receive commemorative medals.

5 km walk awards:

  • Men and women who finish in 1st–3rd place will receive medals and prizes;
  • all finishers will receive commemorative medals.

The following will also receive trophies:

  • The KTU faculty/administrative unit with the most participants in the event.
  • The youngest participant in the children’s race.
  • The oldest participant in the event.

PARTICIPATION FEES

  • 200 m children’s race (with obstacles) – Free
  • until the 18th of Sep 5 km race – 5 EUR, on the day of the event – 15 EUR;
  • until the 18th of Sep 5 km walk – 5 EUR, on the day of the event 15 EUR.

You can only register for any event in your own name (parents can register children for the children’s run). It is forbidden to transfer your number to another participant. In such cases, participants will be disqualified and their results will not be included in the competition protocol. The participant’s entry fee must be transferred to the Lithuanian Amateur Running Association’s account: No. LT67 7044 0600 0795 7548, code 70440, AB SEB bank. Payment must be made according to the entry fee rate set on the payment date. If an incorrect entry fee is paid, it will not be credited! The entry fee is non-refundable.
