Sports club ACTIVATed will reopen on May 3 – Attention visitors!

KTU Sports and Wellness Center will reopen the sport club on 3rd of May. To attend the club, please register yourself via online system here. Registration is required.

Sport club ACTIVATed Visitors

Following the Government Resolution, that allows the presence of one person per 20 m2 of the gym area, and also necessary public health safety and hygiene requirements, all the club visitors have to follow these regulations:

  1. Personal protection equipment (face masks, respirators, etc.) that covers your nose and mouth must be worn at all times, except during sports.
  2. Each person will have their body temperature taken before entering the gym.
  3. Arrival at the gym only at the registered time only. The gym can be used for a maximum of 1 hour 30 min. period.
  4. No more than 5 people are allowed to be in the gym at the same time. Social distancing (2 meters) must be practiced at all times.
  5. It is recommended to place your towel on the gym equipment. All the equipment must be disinfected by attendees after the use.
  6. If you see that the equipment you want to use is taken by another person, please wait for it being 2 meters away.
  7. Don’t forget to wash or disinfect your hands frequently, before and after sports.
  8. Sports attire must be worn upon the arrival. Bring only the appropriate athletic footwear to change.
  9. Locker rooms and showers will remain closed.
  10. If you have been infected with COVID-19 and have visited the sports club within 14 days, inform the sports club administration immediately.

PLEASE NOTE: Those experiencing respiratory and other illness symptoms, such as fever (> 32 oC), cough, runny nose, sneezing, difficulty breathing, etc. must remain at home.

Information for University sports teams:

All the members of KTU sports teams, who attend the gym not on the practice time, must register themselves too.

Leisure sports activities have to wait

Despite the Government’s Resolution, that allows sport activities outside for up to 10 people ensuring 2 meter distancing, Kaunas University of Technology decided to limit sport activities outside due to the internal agreement of the organization. Therefore, leisure sports activities are prohibited until further notice. Also, outdoor sports facilities are closed for public and leaisure activities, only members of KTU sports teams, who are professional athletes, are allowed to practice.
